How do I move in 3D?
There are two ways to navigate a 3D world. You can use the arrow keys or use your mouse. In both cases you must first click on the 3D portion of the screen. This tells your computer that it is focused on the 3D world and allows you to input 3D commands. Lets call this, "Getting Focus".

Using the Arrow Keys.
First Get Focus on the 3D screen, then use the arrow keys. (see picture below) Pressing Forward and Backward arrow keys moves you forward and backward. Pressing the Left and Right arrow keys turns (pans) you left and right. The speed at which you move is set, but holding the Shift key down while you move, makes you move much faster. To change the set speed, right click anywhere on the 3D portion of the screen and choose "Speed" from the drop down.

Using the Mouse.
First Get Focus on the 3D screen, then move the cursor to a central part of the 3D screen and hold the left mouse button down. While holding the button down drag the mouse up the screen to move forward, drag left to go left, right for right and down to move backward. The farther you drag the mouse in any direction, the faster you move in that direction. With mouse movement it is possible to use combinations of left or right, forward or backward so that you make walk along a curve, in circles!
Movement Modes.
The instructions so far have assumed that you are in "Walk" mode. There are several other modes. To change modes, right click anywhere and the 3D portion of the screen and choose "Movement" from the drop down. Double clicking will take you directly to the movement drop down. Choose the mode you want from the list. In all cases (except jump) the method of navigation is the same but the results are different. Try each mode to learn the differences.
