What are Gestures?
Gestures are animations that are built into your avatar. They are used to make your avatar express emotion or respond in a visual way. Most avatars have 8 gestures, some do not have any, but 128 gestures are possible in a Blaxxun avatar. All gestures are triggered by key words or phrases typed in the chat box of a Blaxxun Multi-user World. Your avatar's gestures are part of your avatar and cannot be changed, how ever, the key words or phrases that trigger them may be edited. To do this you must access your body language, this is only available to you while you are in a Blaxxun Multi-user World.

To find your body language, open a multi-user world and look to the right of the chat box. There you will find a group of TABs that open various windows such as the list of nick names or the list worlds. One of the last TABs is the Options TAB. When you open this TAB you see an option called Body Language. Double Click Body Language and a separate dialog box will appear.

How are Gestures Triggered?
When your avatar was created, each of it's gestures was assigned an ID number. The Gesture ID number is a permanent part of your avatar and cannot be changed. Your Body Language dialog window will list two things, your Gesture ID numbers and your lists of Keywords. The Keywords in the list corispond to the Gesture ID to the left. This list may contain many separate words or pharses separated by commas. Any of the words or pharses will trigger the gesture. When you type a keyword from the list in the chat box, the corisponding gesture is activated. Keep in mind that you must spell all Keywords and Keyphrases in the chat box, precisely as you have spelled them in your Body Language or the gesture will not be triggered. It is up to you to figure out which Gesture ID makes your avatar do what.

How Do I Edit Existing Keywords?
When you first install Blaxxun Contact you are given a set of 8 Gesture IDs and Keywords that are designed to work with the standard gestures of the French Avatar Studio avatars. To edit the Keywords, bring up your Body Language dialog box and highlight the Gesture ID and Keywords by clicking on the one you want. Once you select a gesture the list is shown in an edit box at the bottom of the dialog window. You cannot change the ID number of an existing gesture, but you can edit or add new words to the list of Keywords. All Keywords are sparated with a comma! Simply edit the text in the edit box remembering to add a comma for a new word and not to delete any commas separating Keywords. Phrases may be used too, the words between commas become a Keyphrase. When you are finished editing, click the Update button and your changes will be saved.

How Do I Add a New Gesture Trigger?
If you use an avatar that has more gestures than you have gesture triggers, you can add more Gesture IDs. Click the "New" button and a blank edit box will appear for both Gesture ID and Keywords. Add the apropreate number to the Gesture ID box and the words you want to the Keywords box, then click the "Save" button and the new ID will be added. Once you save it you cannot edit the Gesture ID number. If you make an error, select the ID in error and click the "Delete" button and then make your correction but adding a new ID.
